sure, in a perfect world. but people are very imperfect.
government works very well, some might say....we just focus of course on the failures or shortcomings.

i look at the craters on some city roads, though, and think some levels of government work better than others.....the SAME 'crater' on Fisk that was supposed to be fixed not 2 years ago has returned.

over time, as weve become so much more wealthy across the board, it seems churches are less and less the center, or at least 'central' to life for fewer and fewer.....even today, there are charities downtown funded by the catholic and presbyterian (i think) churches, and these provide food, clothing, etc. for the very destitute.
it was jewish communities that helped jews escaping europe (even well after the war into the 1950s) get shelter, food, clothing....

however, i would not be opposed to taxing churches, or at least hearing discussion about it. and not only the larger, historical sects, but also small independent churches/temples/mosques/unitarians, et al.

now, back to DeSantis and the mud slinging!

But, OMG LOOOOOOOL, at ErieGuy commenting on "comprehension". Still, "Playing by the tax laws is simply unpopular to many and they cry it’s not fair", no one knows what the hell that means. I have literally zero idea what is supposed to mean.
It's "home in," not "hone in." Like a homing pigeon or a homing device. Hone is a different word. An example of how to use it is: "tweb66 needs to hone his command of English."

i got a rep for this comment of mine above, and the person who left it wrote: "he's a fascist"

Will that person care to explain why you think that, or cite examples of why DeSantis is a fascist?
Im hoping for something concrete and worth reading, whether i agree with it or not.

given that Trump is fascist-like, yes, so focus on DeSantis if you wish to answer - no examples w/ Donald-affiliation.
