AP classes, as in they will take the College Board's AP test at the end of the school year? Or, do you mean that your children taking Honors courses at their current grade level?

When I hear the term "Advanced Placement Course," I assume that it is a college level course offered at a high school, which follows the guidelines set forth by the College Board. At the end of the year, the students will plunk down the $75 dollars, or whatever it is now, to take the College Board's AP exam for said subject. If the student does well enough on the exam, he or she will be able to earn college credit. The score needed, and how much credit is earned would depend on the college or university that he or she plans to attend.

If your children are taking bone fide AP classes, then I would say that you need to do much more research into the local school systems, and what they might be able to offer your children. Also, I would strongly encourage you to look into private schools. I know that some private schools here have programs that allow children to take courses at nearby colleges.
