Pittsburgh’s Milkman Brewing Company will open a brick-and-mortar location next month at 2517 Penn Avenue in the Strip District. The brewery is an addition to the revitalized 2500 block that also hosts the newly opened Kindred Cycles full service bike shop — near the new Pittsburgh Public Market location.

Iron City IMHO is still a micro beer. It is better than when it was made in the city. It is much smoother. Sure I am not a fuzzy yellow beer lover, but Iron is as good as any of them. Why not support the local beer maker!

I had an Iron City last year for the first time in decades and remembered immediately why I'd avoided them for years. Bleh. It was ninety degrees and the beer was ice cold but I could just barely force myself to finish that foul brew.

I like full pint and east end, but that's pretty much it.

Well if it isn't your beer that is fine. If you like Yuengling, then you don't know beer at all. That is the worst beer out there. Heck Bud os better than that sour beer. There was a time Yuengling was drinkable, but when they switched to municipal water, it was so sour, I didn't get it. Drink one Yuengling and then an Iron and you will realize Iron is way better. Most people don't get it, but being someone that has had well over 1000 beers, I have the experience. I just got back from Rivertown. It was fun. Full Pint is very good. Might be the best around our city.

A brewery that produces a million barrels a year is not a microbrewery.

I'd be OK if I never had either again.
