I love that street. I was visiting Pittsburgh about two years ago, and took photos of some of their houses. Loved it!

Some of them are also artists or connected with artists, and paint their houses with words of their own language, cultural things, etc.

Beautiful. Just a great idea all the way around.

I like driving up Milroy Street. Mostly because it's so insanely steep and twisted.

I also enjoy some of the backstreets in Regent Square because of the very thick tree cover. The tall and mature trees and narrow streets sort of reminds me of Savannah GA, though coincidentally, I don't get this feeling at all from Savannah Avenue.

Finally, I really like Chestnut Street in East Allegheny for two reasons. First, it provides a great shortcut for getting to the 16th Street bridge and avoiding East Ohio Street. And more importantly, it gives an idea of what old-time Pittsburgh might have been like.

I"m just routinely surprised how often you can be in city limits, with hills and woods all around.

Heber St., just off Edgebrook Ave. in Brookline, looks like it could be in rural Appalachia...

Not to mention Edgebrook Ave. itself...

That is insane! I haven't been up Edgebrook for awhile, forgot how rural looking it is!

I work just off Route 51, and when we were evacuated last July due to flash flooding, I was detoured onto Edgebrook when Route 51 was flooded. Scary enough to drive on a clear day, w/ it being very narrow and on the side of a cliff for part of it. Imagine driving it in a heavy rainstorm, w/ additional traffic due to the detour.
