Would you have posted whine if he was instead talking about how wonderful Obama is all day?
Yeah, actually, I would have a problem with it... It goes against our company policy and regulations. I don't think anything dealing with politics, religion, personal life, etc. should be discussed in the work place. That's why I have friends, so I can talk about those things with; and I have a job to work and talk about work-related things.
Get my very conservative boss to, in very loose terms, shut the [MOD CUT/language]up when it comes to Obama? I am hating my new job more and more each day b/c he is ALWAYS ragging on Obama calling him a jack-ass, idiot, etc. and praising Bush for, I don't know, ruining our world I guess... It bothers me, but I can't really argue with him, because he is my boss so I just smile and nod. He said, and I quote, "Baracko is so stupid and doesn't know how to speak and can't give a speech to save his life."
I immediately wanted to snap back and tell him that in my opinion Obama is actually a terrific speaker, one of the best we've had in a while. But, Bush is very entertaining when it comes to speaking... He's the only one I know of who can get away with making up words and not making any sense every time he opens his mouth.
Help me!!! I can't do this much longer.
quit and get a new job. The Obama econmmy should help you
tell him you are a democrat and really do not want to discuss politics with him, just like you wouldn't want to discuss sexual things with him. if he keeps it up tell someone higher up and see what happens. good luck

I don't; that's just the point. All I say, is Good morning, I'm going to lunch, and see you tomorrow/Monday (depending on the day.) That's all I say other than the general office to-do's... And that's the way I think it should be. I don't want to hear about your teenage son going through puberty, or how your wife smoked weed that one time and hated it, or that Obama sucks. I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY OF IT!!
And that is my point.
Your not as productive as you should be, if you dread your workplace. You have a choice. it is not like your being forced to work.
