While payroll increased in Texas, our unemployment numbers increased more.
We have more people coming here than jobs available..unemployment rate for state is around 8.3%.

It's like that since September, it's ok.
Nevada is become the worst state about this (14%), ahead Michigan (13.6%)
I think that makes sense due to the fact that the bigger the state is....the more people they need to count the people for the census. Remember that 90% of the NATIONAL non farm employment gain of 441,000 jobs, for the month of May, were temporary census workers.

Yes I guess you're right.
California is the most biggest state but Texas is ahead in employment. so I suppose California lose jobs in the private sector

No for Texas :
Employers in nine of 11 job categories expanded payrolls, with employment increasing by 10,200 jobs in the professional and business services category and by 9,600 in leisure and hospitality.
Manufacturing employers expanded payrolls by 7,000 jobs. The mining and logging category, which includes oil and gas drilling, grew by 6,500. Construction added 2,000.
The only categories showing employment losses were information, down 2,900, and government, down 1,100.

Good point. In fact, 564,000 total jobs created over the past 3 months were Census related.. We will not be able to see a clearer picture of the unemployment situation until at least August. Although most temporary workers should have been hired in April and May, then let go this month and in July.
But the lowest unemployment rate = North Dakota !
