I smoked for 55 years. I quit almost six years ago. I have one family member who still smokes. His choice - I don't nag him. I have a granddaughter who still smokes - I don't nag her. I'll be happy to celebrate with them if and when they decide they've had enough.
I fail to see how there can be laws declaring where you can and cannot smoke as long as the product is legal. But the tobacco lobby is so strong that the gubmint can't possibly outlaw tobacco.
For everyone who thinks the tax on smokes is a good thing, you better think it over. When people can no longer afford to smoke and the revenue isn't keeping up with the spending, your legislators will dream up a tax on something else and your ox will be gored.
Oh, and save your "I hate smokers - I hate ex-smokers - I hate people who haven't started smoking yet" venom. Means nothing to me.

Congratulations on Your choice Now they are trying to outlaw the E-Cigarette. The Government can not have their cash cow - the smoker - quitting on them - can they
Google "Premier Supermatic". It's a great cigarette machine for about $35. You can buy 200 cigarette tubes for $4. A 6 ounce can of tobacco will make about 200 cigarettes and goes for $30 to $35 in Brooklyn. That's under $4.00 a pack!
