His anti-union stances don't sit very well with me, but other than that he seems to be somewhat decent.
I was in a union in the 1950's. Local 9-288 of the Oil Chemical and Atomic Workers(OCAW) For the last twenty years the union has gotten too big for it's britches and has hurt ordinary Americans more than they will ever be able to repair. A perfect example is General Motors.
I LOVE his personality (hey, I'm originally from NJ) - and am unsure about his acts. He talks a good game, that's for sure, and I'm a democrat. To be perfectly honest, in an election held today between Obama and Christie, I'd have a hard time deciding.
I didn't watch the videos linked above but I did see a clip of Christie on Morning Joe in which he said he wants the teachers to pay 1.5% for their benefits. I have no problem with that, most of us pay much more.

Some of them have, I agree there.
I don't agree about GM though. There problems weren't the union, it was bad business practices and years of putting out subpar vehicles.

We lived in a new townhouse back in the early 90's and a man and his wife who had worked 25 and 35 years up north at GM came to our neighborhood. They were both in their mid 50's and had a new Cadillac, a boat and she told me they paid cash for the townhouse. Keep in mind that we're talking almost twenty years ago. They were drawing $5,500 a month combined pension and had better health benefits then my wife and I had and we were still working. That's a pretty good early retirement if you ask me.
I love it when people who do NOT even live in the damn state feel the need to add their two cents. I have lived in NJ all my life and we NEED someone like him.
