I wont argue with you there. But they are also not advocating for socialism and a bigger more powerful government as far as I know.
I wont support a Republican just because they are a Republican. I like to take a look at their views and beliefs and record.

At this point, I wish we could clean house. Get rid of 75 percent of those in Washington. Especially the ones that have been there forever. I want politicians that dont believe in ever-expanding powers and control of government. While I recognize the need for public/consumer protection and certain regulation, I dont believe in allowing the government to gain more power.

And I certainly dont agree with much of anything from the likes of Waters and the other socialist and marxist like politicians. I dont want the continuing expansion of a welfare state. I dont want people being forced into quotas when it comes to job hiring.

I truly believe that most of the politicians who push this welfare/race/gender stuff do so to gain more power and influence. To constantly push on people that they only victims in our society is morally wrong and hurting this country. It is also hurting the people who they say are victims. Instead of making people believe they are victims so you can have their "devotion" why dont you pick them up. Get them to believe they can do anything they can dream as long as they work hard. Get them to understand while we are created equal, everything isnt always equal. Thats just a fact of life. And failures will happen. People and businesses should be allowed to fail. If you fail, try again and again. Learn from it. You shouldnt be forced nor allowed to sit there and expect handout after handout if you arent getting off your behind and raising your family right and working hard to achieve better.

I'm repeating myself, but it's exactly how I think too. ...

i was surprised at that 17.2 number, i thought it would be lower then that.

i have no problem with hiring quotas and affirmative action. in my opinion, if you have 2 equal candidates, until you have similar numbers between whites and women/minorities, you should lean towards hiring the minority/women.
Oh so very wrong. It should go to the most qualified individual, period. Race, sex, color et al should never enter the equation.

When qualifications become second, you are setting yourself up for failure.
Just look to the government for proof of what happens when qualifications and skill become second in the hiring process.

Maxine is bad Water to our country, yet she still flows.

Forcing "diversity" into the workplace will do nothing good. Common goals are the key to a company's success, not what kind of people it employs.

Sadly the government hasn't quite caught on that they should operate more like a business if they want success.
