WASHINGTON — From a sprawling district on the U.S.-Mexican border to the northernmost reaches of Idaho, a handful of Hispanic candidates in competitive races are bucking political conventional wisdom. They're running as Republicans.
In some cases, such as in Idaho, they are competing in House districts with small Hispanic populations. Others are running in majority-Hispanic districts, such as in Southwest Texas, where voters typically send Democrats to Washington.
I'm surprised it's taken so long. Historically the right have been the ones pro amnesty, with reagan's amnesty bill, W calling for one, and McCain pushing his own amnesty bill.

It's inavoidable, hispanics will be more in the GOP in the future, many of them being pro-family, hard-working and religious.
Most of them are Cuban American (and they'll stay certainly influent in this party) but soon Mexican American will come to the party after the next and last amnesty.

Watch to see if Marco Rubio wins in Florida. That will be a great indicator.
