Dang, George is doing pretty good, considering the 8 years of lies, smears and pounding from the Left and the media.
What lies would those be? Other than the guard scandal that was apologized for.
I mean, the man put us into two wars, one he should have, the other he or his administration willfully ignored intel that didn't support their premise for going to war with Iraq. He made a mockery of our already poor educational system with the failed no child left behind crap. He took a budget surplus, turned into one of the worst economic disasters this countries faced in a very long time. Then he lowered taxes during a time of war (the first time ANY President had done that, ever).
Need I continue? And the man was supposed to be a conservative, my butt.

Correction: No Child Left Behind was the brain child of Ted Kennedy.
I don't see how, as then Governor Bush pushed through the same thing in Texas. It worked in Texas, partially, but didn't work on the national scale as expected.

Quite the contrary. No matter how bad Obama might be, he's leagues better than Bush --- and much better than McCain would have been.
What fairy tale are you living in that things are better now?
Maybe one day you will open your eyes and realize how similar Bush and Obama are but Obama is more extreme
You cant predict the future and have a clue how things would be if McCain was president if that were the case you would predict the lotto numbers and be a millionaire right now
What was Bushs approval rating when he left office? Its higher now seems some are missing him or did the billboards popping up across the America not get the message to you.

Ted Kennedy, in a bi-partisan effort, co-authored the bill, but, make no mistake, it was the brain child of Bush.

Judd Gregg (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/Judd_Gregg - broken link) and GOP Rep. John Boehner (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/John_Boehner - broken link) worked on with the Bush administration in 2001. Recall the context of those times. President Bush (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/George_W._Bush - broken link) had won reelection after the nightmarish Florida recount and Supreme Court decision and many Democrats (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/U.S._Democratic_Party - broken link) wanted nothing to do with him. The president nevertheless extended his right hand to Democrats, and one who took it was the biggest Democrat of all, Ted Kennedy. He came to dinner with the Bushes, watched a movie at the White House (http://topics.dallasnews.com/topic/White_House - broken link) and generally started to work with Bush on reforming federal education law.Ted Kennedy and No Child Left Behind | THE EDUCATION FRONT Blog | dallasnews.com

My personal economy is much better, thank you, as are those of my friends.

As far as I was concerned, McCain demonstrated the depth/breadth of his critical thinking skills when he repeated, over and over again, that Palin was qualified to be VPOTUS. What makes you think his decision making was going to improve over time. McCain was past his prime - way past.

I've already stated that Americans have short memories. Bush's current approval rating simply proves my point.
