The Obama administration, .........is considering ways it could act without congressional approval to achieve many of the objectives of the initiative, including giving permanent resident status, or green cards, to large numbers of people in the country illegally.

***************

"The memo proposes 18 different ways for the Obama Administration to essentially eliminate our borders through regulatory fiat and in clear violation of the letter and the spirit of U.S. immigration laws, which Obama swore an oath to faithfully execute," said Rosemary Jenks, director of government relations for NumbersUSA, an organization that lobbies for tighter immigration laws and practices.
Administration mulls bypassing Congress on immigration reform | Immigration | Chron.com - Houston Chronicle

That's how you build an instant voter base.
Refuse to enforce federal laws aimed at controlling illegal immigraion.

Underfund and understaff the borders of our nation, doing just enough to claim that an "effort is being made"

Sue any state which tries to enforce the federal laws on immigration

Refuse to prosecute sanctuary cities and refuse to take over illegal immigrants from state and local authorities

And then, bypass the legislature giving both amnest and a preferential path to the illegals already in the country.
BOOM!!!! Instant democrat support!!

Got to give Obama his due. He's a slick, crooked, underhanded, manipulative, dictatorial, ego-driven individual who will use whatever means available to achieve his PERSONAL goals.

Damn what the legislature or the citizens think!

It's all politics, to hell with securing the border!

I havent read much on this but would it really surprise me if its true? Nope

DC has been playing politics for years on this issue. Not protecting and sealing our borders should result in impeachment. And granting amnesty and voting rights to 13 million who broke the law is wrong.

Reagan tried the whole amnesty route, and look how that turned out. We've tried amnesty and its doesnt work. And it sure as hell is pointless when you dont protect and secure our borders!

For all of the Beck haters out there...here is another point that he made..that is now coming true...Obama is making Congress and the Supreme Court insignificant and powerless by grabbing power in the executive branch..watch him...he is trying to position himself as the "dictator-in-chief". Maybe he is not worried about 2012 for this reason....

We need answer on this one. The Obama admin needs to hold one of its many press conferences on this one.

This would be getting to close to a dictatorship.

Watching with a keen eye. And sending this to all 3,127 people on my email list. When those people start spreading the word (and they will), the movement begins.

Doing my part to make sure this Administration is held accountable.

This would make sense since they tried to pass the 9/11 bill with medical for illegals. They are up to NO GOOD again!!

The democrats learned their lesson by throwing their weight behind the civil rights movement in the 60's.

Today, 90% of blacks vote democrat, a party that was hugely racially oppressive during most of jim crow.

The sweet thing is that the people that got boned by NAFTA and an amnesty program are often already kool-aid drinking democrats and so will not change thier votes anyway so why not milk those free cows?

Oh well. <shrug> The republicans were turning a blind eye too...but this one will likely roost on the Dems porch quite nicely. Not sure what the long-term repercussions are....the hispanic vote seems to be more practical and not party-slave so this could backfire.
