well he's still black and everyone knows that's the only reason black people voted for him in the first place so as far as I'm concerned he's doing great. Say it loud my brother!

Assuming you didn't vote for him because he's (half) black, then tell us why you voted for him, and how is policies have or have not achieved your color-blind expectations.
aero, why did we vote for obama? not because he is a man of color, nah, were deeper than that. add to that, he's a democrat. seals the deal right there simple mined people that we are the choice was obvious.
Anyone that ran against him now would win only due to spite from the republicans, thereby it wouldn't count anyway.
What? Come on, 0bama can give some of his messianic, "let me be clear" speeches, and make the ladies faint and swoon again. Maybe Time and Newsweek and the NYT can run some more front page photos with that famous 0bama halo.
What does "dat" mean? Did you mean "that" and forgot how to spell it?
"True dat" is a speech tag that has been in use longer than I have been alive but regained currency in the past couple of years. If I am not mistaken etomology would put it at the end of the nineteenth century.
I'm amazed if you haven't seen it before.
Now - back to the thread. Obama is too conservative, IMHO, but he will win a second term because the republicans don;t have anyone to run who is electable.
The rasmussen poll seems to think otherwise, but you could probably get a more accurate poll than that if you took one at a tea party gathering.
Can't say I agree with everything he's done. He just seems to eager to please those on the right. If I were him I'd say screw them and pass my own ideology and not try to please everyone (bank reform, wall street reform).
He's also too conservative on many issues for my taste. He's anti gay, won't raise taxes and won't withdraw from Iraq.
If the election were held today I'd probably vote for him but that isn't to say I'm 100% satisfied with him.
