Can you provide any articles or data that indicate that this is ONLY a minority issue? Are you stating with a FACT that NOT one WHITE person falls within this picture? Its comments like these that negate any point they you were attempting to make.
Never said not one white person falls in this picture..you did.
And the majority of poor fall into minority brackets.
The US Census declared that in 2008 13.2% of the general population lived in poverty:
8.6% of all non-Hispanic White
11.8% of all Asian-American
23.2% of all Hispanic (of any nationality)
24.7% of all African-American.
About half of those living in poverty are non-Hispanic white, but poverty rates are much higher for blacks and other minorities
it's been proven repeatedly that if you give money to those who didn't earn it, the vast majority lose it, spend it foolishly, etc. They don't use it to reinvest in themselves.
Exactly why we have generations that know nothing
more then the government will take care of me
Sadly the meaning of a 'Hand Up' is confused with
entitlement.

Lets try this again, from your very own post.
[quote=HappyTexan;15447005]Very sad story yet this is the picture of the minorities in America.
Not all mind you..but a good many are walking down this path.
I didn't say that was a statement you made, point to where I made that statement.
So I ask you again, is this a picture that a white person would not fall into? Why didn't you say Poor instead of Minority? Doesn't matter what race falls within the highest percentage of the poor, it should matter than ANYONE could have multiple children and live without any responsibility off of the backs of taxpayers.
Of course there are other races in similar situations. But i'm confident that most people who read the story are not surprised that this was a black family. The entire story follows right along statistical lines. Face it. The truth hurts sometimes.

Considering it doesn't have anything to do with me and mine, doesn't hurt at all. If thats what you need to believe to excuse this behavior from anyone no matter what their color or race, hey don't complain about it at all.

To be honest, everything about this story bothers me, and none of it has anything to do with race. But when you dissect every piece of it, it exemplifies precisely what's happening in the Black community. Every single piece of it: Wedlock; Prison; Poverty; It's all there wrapped up in one single family. It's sad.
