SMYRNA, Tenn. - A Mexican guest worker said a landscaping company with at least $2.46 million in state Transportation Department contracts kidnapped him and fellow workers.

Hilario Razura Jimenez said in an interview that officials at Smyrna-based Vanderbilt Landscaping confiscated workers' passports and subjected them to constant surveillance by managers who were often armed.
