Why do you believe it is ok to take from people who work hard and give it to those who choose not to? What makes that OK? What happens if we all just stop working?

It's a complex problem. Thus there is no simple solution, even if humans love simple answers...

The problematic keyword in the op is 'choose'.

...or a "no i won't answer because it would prove the point." Some of us may have time to read it. What is the complex answer then?

Aye, there's teh rub.

What do you mean by "choose?" Do people choose to get laid off or fired? Do they choose to be born into a poor family with less chance at an education or other way to improve their circumstances? What about disabled people?

I'm convinced that communism doesn't work at any scale above a large family, for instance, but what kind of society doesn't make some kind of provision for those less fortunate? This is not exactly a new idea, nor really a "left" one.

...then Anu and Bel called by name me, Hammurabi, the exalted prince, who feared God, to bring about the rule of righteousness in the land, to destroy the wicked and the evil-doers; so that the strong should not harm the weak...

From the preamble to the Code of Hammurabi, circa 1780 BCE.

And don't even get me started on Jesus.

Neither. As I said there are several threads on this topic, it has been discussed ad nauseum. Use the search feature and you will see yourself...
Do you think we have to repeat every discussion whenever there is a "new" user opening such a suspicious thread again?
