"Monday's ruling affects restrictions targeting a Kansas church whose members have picketed outside service members' funerals. The church contends the deaths are God's punishment for the U.S. tolerating homosexuality."

I wonder if it's unconstitutional for a bunch of military folk to surround them and, opps, accidently herd them down the street away from the funerals.

Unfortunately, yes.

But a victory for free speech is a victory for us all. It wouldn't be illegal for a bunch of military folk to express their feelings in return, as I am sure they do.

Agreed. A better idea would to have a gay pride fest right next door to their Church. This might persuade them to think twice.

Now lets "legalize" gay marriages! That will be the true meaning of freedom in this country.

I don't think any members of our military would show such disrespect as to counter-protest these slimeballs at one of their own's funeral. They've too much class. It's too bad the government that caused these boy's deaths don't protect their families but that's to be expected, isn't it.
The best thing to do whenever possible is to have the services on private property and the internment at a time only close family and friends know. I vehemently oppose being involved in the middle east in any fashion at all, however, I do honor our boys and my heart breaks for the families of those lost. I've 9 teenage grandsons, if I lost one and these animals showed up I'd go to jail.

That would make a fun documentary film.

They will be, sooner or later. The SCOTUS can't avoid the question forever.
It's going to be pretty difficult for them to justify doing otherwise.

But it would be hilarious.

Just curious, but what do you think the government should be doing?

Some things are worth going to jail for. As if a jury would go hard on you. You'd probably get famous too. But yeah, you'd get arrested.
