People hold different political philosophies, but many posts on this board are paranoia, not politics.

It's one thing to hold the opinion that Obama's policies are destroying the country. It's quite another to believe that Obama's policies are deliberately designed to destroy the country, thus paving the way for some totalitarian takeover. Do people really believe this? It sounds like the the theory that the country is controlled by a cabal of Masons, Jewish bankers and the Queen of England. Such people used to be regarded as a loony fringe.

Do people feel so disempowered that they can only explain the world through fiction? It's not a liberal/conservative issue, and conservatives should be concerned with this trend.

Yes, the right-wing fringe is getting a lot of attention these days, but being paranoid comes more naturally to conservatives than it does to liberals. Part of being conservative is having a fear that things are changing. If you're always on guard and afraid that things are changing for the worse, you're naturally more likely to buy into conspiracy theories.

Liberals must ask themselves this question:

If this administration is NOT doing things intentionally then really how smart is Barack Obama? The definition of insanity is doing the same things but expecting different results. Every time these types of policies have been tried throughout history, they failed. Socialism doesn't work in large countries, it ultimately turns into a dictatorship/communism where the people suffer immensely. After asking yourselves that question and you come to the answer of "yes of course he's really smart", then the ultimate answer is that they are doing this intentionally.

When Democrats use conservative language to promote their agenda, it ultimately creates more support for Republicans.

And the last nineteen months of this administrations quest
for the never ending 'HOPE' & 'CHANGE' is pretty clear
it's not working

People are so selective with the Socialism label. For the things they like ... Social Security, Medicare they have no issue, of course that came from that famous Socialist FDR...

I sense people really have no clue about what is Socialism or Communism, or even a republic for that matter.

Here is the reality, Obama is no more a Socialist than any other president. The majority of his actions are far from Socialism. For those that keep insisting the Socialism stuff... get a dictionary, get an encyclopedia, and get a clue.

personally i thought the fascist tendencies of Bush were far more a worry.
