It wasn't a logo just a cliche and over done background image for the header! The new site is graphically cleaner and far more up to date design.
Sure it is more up to date. Those hateful red and white stripes are gone as ae they gone from the seal. I guess my old conservative eyes must be seeing something you can't.
the flag is still there. The logo (not a seal) is simply all in gold WHICH is the theme colors of this site (Blue, Gold and white)

- its user friendly
- its clean
- its simple
I'm a professional web and graphic designer. The former website, was something that came out of WEb 1.0 days. The new one is reflective of how much the web has advanced from using tABLES as layouts.
