Over here in Florida we hear more and more people losing their job and having no money to spent on much and then to see that they remodeled the Oval Office where nothing was wrong with, is to me like a slap in the face of the people who wish they just had some money to stay in their home...

The timing of this First couple is really great...
Why is this a slap in the face?

Other than the obviously absent Churchill bust: Tacky sofas. They look like they came off the floor of the local Lazy-Boy store.

His ideology about the public welfare over the individual is well spelled out in the carpet (FDR quote). Too bad there are no quotes regarding personal freedom and Constitutionally affirmed rights.

"Real estate beige" was probably a safe color scheme choice seeing he is busy selling the country to China.

That's odd...for years I thought that Theodore Roosevelt, not FDR said that, "The welfare of each of us is dependent fundamentally upon the welfare of all of us", not FDR...

No, I don't see anything wrong with that quote...my point was that that lifelongmogal attributed it to FDR.

Obviously he was pre occupied with other things other than redocorating when he took office.
Golf? Starting a new war when he got elected due to our disgust of Bush's war-mongering? Giving away trillions in no-strings-attached taxpayer dollars to banks that pocketed the money and still won't lend? Bailing out AIG and other colossal Big Business Scams? Forcing through Obamacare in behind-closed-door negotiations that are the opposite of the transparent government he promised?

Frankly, we all would have been better off if he spent every minute so far of his presidency coordinating the decorations of his office. Especially since it is all supposedly paid for by his ultra-rich supporters, who naturally won't want any government favors in return for their cash.
