Did you see Donald Trump on TV? He said we need to do something about NAFTA. He wants a high tax on products from other countries. He also is thinking of maybe running for president. I guess we could do worse---oh yes we have with Obama. At least Trump is a business man and understands it.

There is no such thing as fair trade, when we are burdened with rules and regulations, along with taxes to enforce those rules and regulations. They are not.

It will ruin us, like you see happening.

Nobody's taking work from Americans, American companies are busy out sourcing YOUR jobs to parts of the world where labour is cheaper: eg China & India.

They don't care about their employees who lose their jobs, they want to make more profit for their shareholders & bigger bonus's for themselves.

That's the way capitalism works, that's the American way, so what are you complaining about!

Only because our Government allows it to happen.
Rules and regulations here, push them over there where there is nothing that says they can't

The purpose of a business is not to give people jobs. It is to turn a profit with the least overhead possible. Wasting money when they don't have to.

Your an employee and will never in your lifetime what it takes to run a business and turn a profit for the business to keep the business running, along with paying you a living wage off the profits of the business.
A business has the ability to show a profit, or unlike an employee, show a loss.

That is the American way only recently. Rules and regulations are great for our workers to be safe and our public safe. There was trade taxes called trade tariffs placed on everything not-produced here, to protect the regulated businesses/workers here. It would cost higher to produce here, compared to nations with no-to very little rules and regulations.

That is not capitalism in the American sense. It is destruction of the American workforce and economy.

All in the name of "one world order"

We should repeal ALL of our trade and tariffs and institute a system of controlled trade and countervailing tariffs to eliminate any financial advantage created by low wages, lax environmental laws and government subsidies for the importing country. The tariffs should allow competition based on efficiency not slavery.

Probably the first time I have ever agreed with you about anything, but you nailed it on this one.

This country isn't wealthier. We're seriously in debt, unable to pay our bills.

Now of course some CEO's are wealthier. But the average American is facing impossible tax burdens in having to support the displaced Americans and also the millions of cheap labor immigrants who come to work for wages so low they need food stamps and Medicaid to subsidize them (while they send billions of dollars out of the USA every month).

Except I don't think the Clintons are terrified of the big money types, they would have done anything to be a part of them. They still strut around trying to act like NAFTA was the greatest thing ever even after we know what it's brought Mexico.

I saw the Turmp interview. Regardless of social issues, I would certainly vote for the guy, as he understands buisness and appears to be interested in helping Americans maintain thier jobs. That would be a switch. I would not care whether he ran as a democrat or republican.
