I told you he didn't have the stones to do it. My question is, why keep airing him? The guy is a genius in many ways, because I don't think he ever intended on burning the Koran. So what is his true agenda? Money in the collection plate? Can someone tell me, other then air time, what is the true reason behind all this?

Who knows. I think he really was going to burn them. As pleased as I am that he decided not to, there is something about him if stories are true, that paints him in a very bad light in my eyes, for a "preacher". I read something somewhere that said he had agreed with what the West Baptist "Church" does when the protest military funerals and carry signs that "God hates this person and that person". If that is true, then I truly think this man is hateful and has no clue what the teachings in the Bible mean.

However, something that came out of this whole mess further confirms what many of us were aware of or suspected. The media, to most who see things beyond face value, looks bad in all this. They promoted this guy and made this world news, when it never needed to be. This thing shouldve been ignored from the start.

Second, it shows that even though we have faults as Americans of our own, the reaction from the Muslim world is just disgusting. How many times have we seen this story before? It does not take much, for millions in the "religion of peace" to take to the streets and get rowdy, hateful, violent. There needs to be voices in the Islamic world that try to get these people to understand that death threats and other violent reactions to nearly anything is outrageous, and just uncalled for. If the Koran truly is a book of peace, than they need to learn that. If it has passages, that they use to justify their behavior, violence, hateful rhetoric, etc than perhaps Islamic leaders need to modernize the Koran.

He is looking for nothing but attention, and the media and people keep fueling the fire. Please erase this topic, and everyone from all sides, stop speaking about this fool. Every post, every topic, every mention of this idiot's name keeps giving him what he wants.

I respectfully disagree with your post. You are lumping all muslims in one pot. That simply is not true. We invade muslim countries and the mainstream muslim believers are still our allies. We kill muslims randomly using remote control bombs and they are still our allies. Burning the most sacred books of 1.5 billion muslims is no small potatos and would surely bring the most radical of the muslim faith out of the woodwork.

I honestly think he got threatened and had to pave into the PC world for his safety and the safety of those in his Church. Pathetic. Sad.

I would have burned the damn Koran with pork on it (especially if I had all this attention on it) but I don't want to waste even a cent on the Koran.

I had no doubt that had this been a Bible or Vedas or Guru Granth Sahib burning, it would have went on.

That's what I think too. He still should have gone through with it. It was his 1st Amendment right to do so.
