I am more moderate, a little fiscally conservative, socially liberal, but more moderate than anything else. I am 100% for people's social freedoms, but moderate on other things
Somewhat liberal was the best available choice for me, although I tend towards libertarian views in many areas, and the words "liberal" and "conservative" are very hard to define.

Conservative means you want the laws and legislation to exist within the bounds of the Constitution.
Liberal means you support laws and legislation that attempts to get around the Constitution.
Full disclosure: I put myself down as 'somewhat conservative' but most would probably put me at simply 'conservative'. I'm for low spending/taxes, a relatively weak central government (aka true federalism), strong national defense, minimal infringement of Rights (including second amendment ones.) I am pro-life on ethical (as opposed to religious) grounds although outlawing abortion will not work, in my opinion. On other social issues my outlook can be expressed -pretty much- as 'Live your life and don't hurt anybody'.
I guess I'm socially very liberal and fiscally moderate or somewhat conservative. (by European standards, at least)
