While President Obama and Democratically-controlled Congress have done everything they can to stop housing foreclosures, instead of champions for the so-called "working man," they are only forestalling the inevitable, killing the current real estate market and assuring a much deeper housing crisis in the near future
You should check your facts before you post ignorant right wing threads. The bill was to make it harder for people to challenge their foreclosures. Blocking it was the right thing to do.

how do you challenge a foreclosure? you dont pay as you promised you loose period. Geeze if I new you could get away with staying in a home you could not afford I would have bought a nice 350000 home instead of my 116 year old home that I can easily afford

You obviously do not know anything about this topic and the bill Obama refused to sign. I recommend reading from a diversity of sources:

Property Rights Gone Wrong
Most mortgages in America are now backed by our government. And in order for a bank to get that backing from our government it must fill two criteria:
1. The borrowers must be verified by the banks and their agents as qualified.
2. Lenders must fill out paperwork accurately and make sure that when the home's title changes hands, so does the documentation.
But in the past two decades, a whole lot of the time, that never happened.
Why?
While President Obama and Democratically-controlled Congress have done everything they can to stop housing foreclosures, instead of champions for the so-called "working man," they are only forestalling the inevitable, killing the current real estate market and assuring a much deeper housing crisis in the near future
Everything they can;sre you kidding. the second half of TARP (350 billion) was supposed to be for solving the housing crisis. Obama called it their second priority. Geithner keep promisng a plan for months after Obama was elected but none ever occured. it was supposed to be a privte/governamnt plan but after the GM and chrysler forced banrupsy terms on investors ;was interested anymore. The banks now have no interest in moving fast to take losses even greater. They have no interest in flooding the market with foreclosed home they own.

Do you know the difference between a Trust Indenture and a Mortgage?
They were foreclosing in error- sometimes even on homes that were owned free and clear!
Exactly!
