you miss the point of these Marxists, their mode of operation is to be like an 0bama community organizer, demonize the upper class and enrage the peasantry into grabbing the torches and pitchforks.

Actually, that describes pretty much everything proposed since January 2009...

But, it is interesting to watch Chris Matthews foaming about this stuff, funnier than many other shows on TV.

Playing to their base, much like the OP in this thread.

This is an issue where folks should either keep the cuts or get rid of them, none of this "I'll keep mine, but you lose your benefit" stuff.

Just junk the whole thing.
People under to upp to 250 000 will most likely spend the money and thus contributing to consumer demand
While richer housholds would most likely save the tax cuts shortfalls.

It's all a part of the divide and conquer strategy, they pit one group against another, keeping everyone off balance and distrustful of their neighbor, so that the ruling class, political elites can be seen as the only trustworty and sane folks among us.

I'm sure 0bama has a calendar of sorts, with specific days where he and his cronies put a stick in the eye of America, by demonizing one class or group of people. One day we are supposed to hate, fear, or distrust doctors, because they are cutting off perfectly good feet or organs to make a buck, and the next week its Fox News or Sean Hannity trying to destroy the nation, and the week after that its a conservative SCOTUS that is working with corporations to steal away our democracy. Today, we need to despise those who unfairly make $250,000 and living off the backs of the poor.

0bama....0bama...0bama....

Well, I could counter that the wealthy would invest the money and create jobs.

Don't you think the money spent would mostly be on goods made in other countries?

The issue is pretty phony, either just let the tax cuts ALL END, or keep them for everyone.

The real issue here is pandering to class warfare sentiments.

Without consumer demand there is no invesmtments investments are driven by consumer demand and by consumer who are willing to spend the money rather than save it and right now the problem with the economy is very low consumer demand.

Hey, if you really want to pay higher taxes there's nothing to stop you. You can pay as much as you want to the government -- just don't hold your breath waiting fora thank you note.

Nonsense, exports and infrastructure are well outside of the consumer demand associated with personal/individual US tax rates.

Over 95% of the world population lives outside of the US, and the preponderance of current and future economic growth is in many of those areas.

What is needed right now for the economy is consumer spending and consumer demand in order to drive investments those who will spend the tax cuts shortfalls should also get the tax cuts rather than those who will hoard it in savings as is the case righ now with large savings and very weak consumer demand.

Why didn't they create those jobs during the Bush years when they got those tax cuts then?...
