I would like to see people pay for what they vote for.

If you want the government to spend more education.

Then the people who vote yes should have their paychecks garnished and applied towards education.

I think it would be a much better tax system than we have now. You can choose how much tax you want taken out of your paycheck.

Nobody would approve any spending bill then. That would be like asking only smokers to vote on no smoking areas.

How about if you got to allocate what percentage of your federal taxes go to which spending category? I wouldn't have a problem with that, but the the problem is that the people who keep voting for more and more entitlements don't actually pay tax to begin with. Would be a quick death for those programs, which come to think of it, would be a good thing.

Exactly . Like the people that constantly vote down Initiatives to raise vehicle tabs then complain bitterly about the potholes etc.
