Would you think it was fair to have someone that you're biologically related to, but barely know, held up as a major factor in your life? My kids are all adopted, and although we got them at very young ages, some of them came from the foster care system after parental rights were terminated or relinquished. Do you think the same thing would be fair to them--to raise the behavior of their birth families if they ever decided to run for public office?
