Yeah, that's a great story that happened 60+ years ago. I guess all muslims are ok now. All praise to Allah....falalalalala.
"Pictures of the Albanian Muslims in the exhibit tell a lifetime of stories. As a young mother, one woman did not have enough breast milk to feed her son. A Jewish woman she hid nursed him instead. She was asked if she minded that a Jewish mother had fed her baby."
So we are supposed to make an exception for ALL Muslims in 2010 because of a rare few 70 years ago? These "human interest" stories always seem to pop up in an attempt to sway public opinion.
Heck, if the Reich had its way the Albanian Muslims would have been next to go.
Have you ever been to Albania or The Balkans? If you have, you will find that they are "culturally" Muslim (much like England is culturally christian). They follow the 5 pillars (somewhat), but do not have radicals or any of those madrasahs (fundamentalist schools). A good portion of Islam is only "culturally" so (again, much like most of Western Europe & North America are culturally christian and do not espouse fundamentalism or even a moderate christian view) and make up the majority. But fundamentalist Muslims are estimated to be, at least, 25% of the over 1 billion population. Albanian Muslims hiding Jews means as little to fundamentalist Islam as German or French christians doing the same. Fundamentalism or conservative religious groups do not consider them true believers. I sure do wish we had a lot more culturally Islamic and Christian people in the world to offset the insanity of fundamentalism.
There was also the case of the Moroccan Jews during World War II. Sultan Mohammed V refused to carry out the disciminatory anti-Jewish laws and deportation orders to the concentration camps as ordered by the Vichy French regime. Even after the exodus of Morrocan Jews following the founding of Israel, some still had pictures of Mohammed V hanging in their homes.

Although, it is true that the Sultan refused to follow Vichy France's orders, his motivation for it wasn't so much to save the Jews as much as it was the animosity they had towards colonial France.
