Correct. Bill could have saved the country all that money if he hadn't been so skeered of Hillary's reaction. He just couldn't man-up and tell the truth. I mean, it is not as though it wasn't well known that he was the biggest philanderer in the WH since JFK!
Remember when the republicans decided to stop at nothing to try to get rid of Bill Clinton? Remember how every night there was a new story on the evening news about the affair. IIRC, $60 million was spent in an attempt to oust Bill, and the practical result was that they taught every child in America about oral sex.
Since then, Oral sex has become the new Good Night Kiss among teenage children. That leads to other things, and an increase in the teen birth rate, I'm sure.

Ok, it is truley twisted to attempt to blame Republican's for Clinton's sexual escapades in the Oval Office. It Was Bill Clinton and his intern Lewinski that made the behavior acceptable in the eyes of many. Just as it was those in the public eye snorting coke and shooting heroin or dropping LSD that broght illegal drug use ingot the mainstream, not the reporting of it.
IIRC the investigation began to find out who murdered Vince Foster; the Lewinski thing just kind of showed up because the gal talked and kept her dress with bills DNA all over it.

This is no attempt to diverrt from anything. Obama's largest failing, which has really pissed of most of the liberals io know, is his inability to get things done because he wasted so much time trying to make nice with the republicans. Going into office he had the clout to accomplish great things. He blew it. Unless the republicans can find a viable candidate, however, he will have a second term.
What we really need is to elect Morris Dees to the Oval Office.

The Republicans do not control the news cycle. The media is left wing biased and were slanting the story against Ken Starr's investigation. That is why it was covered so much.
Clinton should have been impeached for his corruption from Arkansas when he was the Governor and Attorney General.
That is how Spiro Agnew got yanked as Nixon's VP. Tax issues while he was the Governor of Maryland.
