Mark Andrade sat down at the Campbellford Royal Canadian Legion hall on Saturday night looking forward to a Halloween beer. Instead, he was treated to the sight of one man parading around in a Ku Klux Klan costume with a Confederate flag.

The partygoer was leading another man in blackface around the room by a noose.

Was that your point?

That is disgusting, I guarantee that wouldn't happen at the Legion branch I belong to.
The Campbellford branch should lose it's charter for this despicable act....

That is disgusting but not surprising when you think of the recent New York Times promotion of an" art exhibit" where a prominent Catholic Cardinal was depicted in a giant condom with a nasty slur title or the Colorado, partially tax payer funded "art exhibit" that depicted Jesus engaged in a pornographic act with another man.

I will no longer donate to the NEA and if I were a member of that Legion, I certainly would be loudly quitting my membership.

These things aren't funny. These things are not art work. People are so hateful and sick sometimes. Fortunately most people are not.

Why are you changing the subject. The OP is talking about blatant racism.

You are talking about Catholics being mocked and scorned for being corrupt.

An art piece with Jesus having gay sex is simply artistic expression. Jesus was all forgiving and all loving. He would not be bothered by it. Neither should you. So get over it.

Do you understand the difference?

I disagree. These are all examples of what I consider uncouth bigotry by hateful people.

Yes it is and the RCL branch where it took place has been shut down by National Command
pending investigation, rightly so.

The national president of the Royal Canadian Legion has apologized for a racist incident at
a Halloween party Saturday at an Ontario branch, which has since been closed for the
duration of an investigation.

"I sincerely regret the incident that happened at Campbellford Branch No. 103," Patricia
Varga said Wednesday. "I also want the citizens of Canada and the members of the organization
to know that this behaviour is not condoned by the Legion nor is it reflective of its members."
