Repeal is a moot point - ObamaCare will unravel on its own when the courts strike down the "mandate".

Compared to all that BO and the Democrats did, that's an improvement.

Was thinking about this ..... what would happen if a state governor refused to set up one of those connectors? I am not sure the Federal government has the power to make him/her.

I wish him all the luck. I understand he may not be successful as he doesn't have the votes in the Senate.

You talked about Boehner before, he's in the House, not the Senate.

Repeal is a trick played on the voter. It couldn't possibly happen until 2013, and thats counting on a 60 seat majority in the house, a Republican President against probably the best campaigner we've ever seen, and a majority in the House.

And its not like all Republicans would be for repeal.

Its a ghost, you can never catch it, and it'll never go away. You can attack specific portions of the bill, but the bill will always be there.

It really is so very sad that the main people who need and will benefit from healthcare reform have been hoodwinked and bamboozled into thinking that it is a great evil.

The money machines behind the scenes (insurance companies, et al) have been pushing hard and muddying the waters to keep the status quo.

It won't hurt to try. While I'd prefer to see the entire piece of junk go I wouldn't object to some portions going. What I'm actually hoping to see is a bunch of state governors tell the Feds to pound salt.

If the Republicans are the party of the Constitution and the "mandate" is as you say unconstitutional, it really makes you wonder why the Republicans proposed the individual mandate in the first place.

That said, if we can repeal this health care bill and replace it with a true universal, single-payer health insurance system (or at least something like the bill Pelosi and the Democrats in the House crafted that the Senate butchered and morphed into what we got suck with), then I'm all for repeal.

Hey, everybody comes up with stupid ideas - but it takes Democrats to pass them into law.
