That said, if we can repeal this health care bill and replace it with a true universal, single-payer health insurance system (or at least something like the bill Pelosi and the Democrats in the House crafted that the Senate butchered and morphed into what we got suck with), then I'm all for repeal.
...so you're in favor of repealing the Socialistic bill and jump right into making it a total communist bill instead...? great idea...
Cuba welcomes people who think like that...!!

Oh please. The current bill is barely socialist (not at all by the true definition of the term), and socializing health insurance is not "total communis(m)". By the way, lots of things are "socialized" in this country - military, roads, fire and police protection, utility infrastructure, libraries, parks, etc.
So to answer your question, yes, I am in favor of repealing the current bill and replacing it with a universal, single-payer, socialistic, health insurance system.
That's not only my view, it's the majority view in the United States. I find if funny when right wingers on here point out, depending on the study, that 55-70% (or whatever) of Americans are unhappy with the healthcare bill and then use it to say that America reject Obama and his "communist" approach to heath insurance reform (or at least the approach he tried to take initially). If you further look at the numbers, a majority of those 55-70% people upset with the health care bill are upset because it wasn't a universal, single-payer health insurance system.
More than anything, we're upset that he compromised and went with the Republican idea of the individual mandate.
Truthfully, the ones who are yelling the loudest and complaining the most about healthcare reform are the ones at greatest disadvantage (and in most need).
The ones who are perennial couch potatoes, wolfing down tripledecker bacon cheddar cardiac burgers with their Big Gulp sodas before they waddle off to a Tea Party rally are the ones who will have diabetes and heart disease with a decade.
Then, when their health insurance companies drop their coverage for cancer treatments because they didn't indicate on the health insurance application that they had acne and a hang nail in the 1980s they will remember this moment in our nation's history.
This past Tuesday, the citizens of the State of Arizona passed (by a wide margin) a referendum that states we, in Arizona, do NOT have to accept any Federal Healthcare bill. We can make our own decisions about OUR healthcare.
The Arizona Republican Party is delusional. Trust me, this was a political ploy to boost Repub turnout this year. The election is over...time to sober up. This state is going to accept this healthcare legislation, and will do so happily, just like all of the other federal monies that we gladly accept despite the rantings of these fake Rugged Individualists that we have here.
As Americans get fatter and unhealthier by the day, it baffles me that the Right would spend so much energy on battling solutions to help make Americans a healthier, stronger nation.
Is it just me or does "The Right" always seem to back the villain (tobacco industry, food safety regulations, environmental pollution regulations, safety regulations etc, etc) Makes one really wonder what America would suffer under complete Republican domination.

Yep...and blame the Democrats for it 'cuz Glenn said to.

The health care reform isn't the same thing as health reform.
When it comes to the subject of government compelling certain behaviors which are deemed more "healthy," I'm with the conservatives on that. That's the Nanny state on steroids and I would fight it to the bitter end.
Sadly, far too many of the so-called "conservative" Republican's are all for it. As an example, take a look at what Mike Huckabee did as Governor of Arkansas and take note of what he says he'd support as President.

You are making up facts to suit your purpose. It is hardly the majority that supports Obama's HC policy. If it was the majority, the Democrats wouldn't have had their a$$'s handed to them on election day.
Stick around and watch the good guys dump that horrible plan, and do it the right way.. You will soon be a converted, loving Republican...
We're the good guys, you'll be glad you changed to our side...!
