Not since the days of the Pharaohs or the ludicrous Roman Emperors has a head of state travelled in such pomp and expensive grandeur as Obama!

Blame Dubya for escalating the danger to ALL Americans through the world by waging a profiteers war for oil in response to 9/11 (in a completely different country than the one that attacked us)

...that and the Tea Party (equally as scary)

How sad and ignorant your beliefs are!

pomp-ous-arse is more like it.....

Is this the equivalent of Nero fiddling?

Was it really necessary to send 40 planes and 34 warships so that Boeing could announce military plane sales and Harley Davidson an assembly plant in India? Is that kind of taxpayer funded grandstanding necessary? Really??

More Idiocy. A long quonset hut to protect the President from an overlooking building.

The report is daft.

Well, that's a fair and balanced article.

"At the heart of the White House caravan is ‘The Beast’, a gigantic, ‘pimped-up’ General Motors Cadillac which security experts say is, short of an actual battle tank, probably the safest road vehicle on the planet. But an outlandish car is only the start."

Hmm, that tunnel is a "bomb-proof over-ground tunnel, which will be installed by U.S. military engineers in just an hour."

Down below the fold is some actually interesting information.

DID YOU KNOW?: The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel is the one that was hit by the terrorists in 2008. Obama specifically requested to stay there.

Nice coverage of Obama's first speech in Mumbai, here: The Hindu : Front Page : U.S. stands in solidarity with all of India in eradicating terrorism: Obama

Trip to the Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum: The Hindu : Front Page : “Mahatma a hero to the entire world”
(Gandhi whom the paper calls Gandhiji, "Gandhi the Great")

Last edited by delusianne; 11-06-2010 at 04:40 PM.. Reason: added speech & museum

Unbelievable that you still believe that report even though it has been beaten down as an outright lie. This report that the op produced just feeds on it.

Seriously? You took a chain-mail hoax and ate it up just like that? The government already debunked this nonsense story for what it was. A lesson to everyone reading: lifelongMOgal relies on bogus information. Keep that in mind.
