Tru dat.

The States were here first. They created the feds. It is amazing people think that the States just gave away all rights to the feds when they signed the Constitution.

Ohh you're good south-central PA to be exact. And you must be from the southeast or the west.

Oh really? Nevermind the anti-Federalists from around the Revolutionary era? Racism strawman how typical.

That being said I don't think neither are "subservient".

States are a part of the government of the USA. States make up the USA and send rep's and senators to form the Fed Govt.

Do you believe that a nation made up of loosely aligned states would perform better than a highly unified one? Check your history. It's all there for you between 1782 and 1787.
Federal LAW is not the supreme law of the land. The U.S. CONSTITUTION is, and that is NOT federal law. The Constitution lays out what the federal government CAN do. If it's not listed, it's not allowed to do it. Because those powers are reserved to the States, or to the People.

The federal government is subservient because it were the States that created the federal government. Not the other way around. The Articles of Confederation was never nullified contrary to popular belief.
