Arms treaty with Russia... what a frikkin joke. The U.S. and Russia have been tossing around arms agreements for over 50 years, changing numbers, methods, preferences, yada yada yada.

The U.S. isn't going to bomb Russia. Russia is not going to bomb the U.S.

These agreements are just political grandstanding by whatever administration is in office.

When is Russia going to stop providing nuclear assistance to Iran? Any agreements there?

This guy is so comical, could he be any more like Jimmy Carter? If I worked in an embassy I may start looking for other work.......

Strategic Arms Limitation Talks - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Salt II was a controversial experiment of negotiations between Jimmy Carter and Leonid Brezhnev from 1977 to 1979 between the U.S. and the Soviet Union, which sought to curtail the manufacture of strategic nuclear weapons."

If y'all are really interested in debating the treaty, and not just going off on a Russia-bashing expedition, you can see it here, along with it's all important protocols.

The New START Treaty and Protocol | The White House

Of course, reading and understanding it would take more time than just simply tossing out a one-liner about them eveeel ol' Russian's, so I'm not too optimistic that the thread will remain on track.

But, there it is if you want to.

The silliness of the left never ceases to amaze me.

The count in the senate is still 59 democrats to 41 republicans and republicans could not stop a darn thing if there lives depended on it yet republicans are gridlock.... republicans are stopping everything.

I can hardly wait for January.

The only reason Republicans stop anything is because Democrats can't even work together with their own party.

But in all fairness...their probablly thinking when is the U.S. going to stop selling military equiptment to Saudi Arabia or India or Isreal and others...

You would be suprised, what this government (regardless of administrations) allows companies like Northrop to sell high tech military hardware too...and nuclear information....
