When WikiLeaks obtains and publishes leaked documents from Al-Qaeda, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and Cuba, I'll consider it more than another run-of-the-mill anti-Western anarchist treehouse filled with onanistic nerds sniffing glue and playing internet graffiti tag.
Scroll to the bottom and they list all they've leaked over the years.
It's not just US stuff.

But none is related to the countries I listed. It's all the same old anti-western drone drone drone.
Bringing down the semi-good guys is never going to rid the world of the bad ones.

No, that's not the point. When the American Secretary of State instructs American diplomats to spy on their counterparts, I want to know what my tax dollars are doing. And if the only method of knowing what my government's actions are the release of classified messages, then that is the method required for a healthy democracy.

No, creating a healthy democracy is not what you want to do. What you want to do is hurt the US by releasing a list of sites that are vital to our security.

Not one of those sites are in the US, not one.
The DHS has no jurisdiction or authority to protect interests outside of the US.
And items like "cobalt mine in Africa" is not exactly detailed, is it ?
Or "anti venom site in Australia".
Yet..the Patriot Act and DHS directives were used to gather that global information. The DHS directive is for national use..not global use.
Read that cable and you'd think the DHS was the UN or something.
The DHS does not have any global authority.
No, they're not terrorists. Terror isn't one of their weapons.
Actually they are the reverse. Nothing illegal has even been commited.
No lives have been put in danger, dispite the shrill comments from some American commentators and right wing politicians.
Free speech don't agree with all folk.
