Challenging school courses are being eliminated or dumbed-down because minorities refuse to "act white" and study to get good grades to go to college. This is called "progress" in liberal circles, because it's so greatly offensive that white and asian kids dominate the accelerated classes while the blacks and hispanics are stuck on the short bus to nowhere, taught to act like perpetual victims and refusing to take advantage of any opportunity presented to them.

If I were a minority I would be greatly offended by liberals' assumption that I'm so stupid and unteachable that elite courses have to be dumbed down so that losers like me can join them. The smart, ambitious kids who study are held back and bored out of their minds, while the rest of the kids get a gold star for just showing up while learning how to never get ahead in life by never challenging themselves to do better. How exactly does this prepare anybody to compete in the global market? Why does liberal America insist on lowering our high standards to mediocrity?

We can thank the Progressives (or should that be, Regressives?) for doing their job to once again destroy American values that embrace competition, strive for excellence, and to be the best that we can be -- because to do so would be racist and offensive to everybody else who can't keep up, and it's just not fair. waaah.

Excellence Crushed In The Name of Diversity
School may drop advanced English class in diversity effort.
Across the Chicago region, high school officials say they are making inroads in diversifying their advanced classes, but Evanston is considering the boldest step of all: eliminating an elite honors English course that has traditionally been offered to the highest-achieving incoming freshmen — usually white.
No Child Left Behind = No Child Gets Ahead.

Public schools: where mediocrity thrives and dreams go to die.

Dumbing Down Our Schools
This is the dirty secret in the wars over teacher quality: the low level of academic work at all levels in far too many schools. The consequences of low-level work are seen in poor test results: Students given only work that is below their grade level cannot pass standardized tests about material they have never seen.

Fortunately, you are a minority.

Why don't you compare the scholastic scores of high schoolers in liberal States such as Vermont, New Jersey, Massachusetts etc, on standardized test to those of your hero states of Idaho, Oklahoma, Texas etc.

And then come back to us on tell us how bad liberals are in education.

Also, you might want to take a gander at the top twenty universities in the USA and note their location.....Is even one located in a Red State?

No doubt, graduating the 5th grade is a major accomplishment to many republicans.

So you agree that public schools should get rid of AP classes because there's too many white kids in them and not enough "diversity"? Really?

Feel free to comment on the article(s) posted instead of making personal attacks.

What exactly is a "hero state"?

Feel free to comment on the article(s) posted instead of making bizarre accusations about me.

Why is it that liberals always assume academic and intellectual superiority? I can guarantee you that I have more education, and almost certainly a higher IQ, yet I am a conservative. I guess it is probably because I used to be poor and have seen the destructive and ill advised policies of liberalism by "well meaning" practitioners.

I must say truthfully that I have never in my life encountered a liberal personally who was smarter or better educated than me. I have met many conservatives (many of my college and med school profs) who were much more intelligent and had far superior academic credentials. I have, however, met many, many liberals who thought they were intelligent, but were not.

Thanks. Unfortunately the liberal bashing can't be helped since it's common knowledge that education is ruled by mostly liberal professors.

Diversity is just another word for communism, just like liberalism, socialism, progressivism it all means the same thing to bring everybody down to the same level except for the ones making the rules, they never have to give up anything.

Well it ain't Republicans trying to dumb down the curriculum. They're too busy trying to get people to pray to Jesus between Algebra II and Biology.

It's essential that parents take a personal and active role in the education of their kids.

If math professors in any state twisted numbers the way english professors teach comprenhension, this country wouldn't be producing any engineers. Just programmed instruction bots.

Regardless of the state in which that edjumacation was 'achieved'.

The standards of learning throughout the U.S. have been severely compromised by liberal values.

Years ago I realized the mall had become the new gathering place, America's new town square where our culture is nurtured and shared.

Would you send your kids to the mall to do their own shopping?
