Well the CC's are making money hand over fist with all the remedial reading, English and Math classes that incoming freshman have to take so they can be "college ready".

Good point. The MSM has not much explored the role of education failure and the economy. The unemployment rate for college grads right now is only 4.2 percent, and that includes art history majors.

I agree...my oldest is now in the 8th grade,honor roll and gearing towards Vet Med and she is as dumb as a box of rocks on history,geography and the world around her...her Mom and I fill the gaps in as best we can,but it pisses me off that she has those grades,but yet is clueless on so many things....it's unbelievable what passes for an education these days.

And people wonder why employers are now requiring a college degree for most jobs. Illiterate people cost too much and take too long to train.

....and do you have an opinion on this or are you not intelligent enough to come up with your own thoughts. Should it be the latter, perhaps you should just read posts and not create threads.

Get rid of the illegals, get rid of standardized testing, and get rid of the Department of Education. Then you'll start to see things improve.
