Muslim Woman Won't Remove Scarf For Jail Photo - cbs4denver.com (http://cbs4denver.com/news/Muslim.woman.Colorado.2.2034844.html - broken link)
I'm pretty sure that if I refused to remove a baseball cap the cops would just take it off my head and snap the photo anyway. Once again we see that when Islamic law and American law contradict it seems it is American law that must give way.
Would a Sikh have to remove his turban for such a pic?
Interesting point. I found a few references where Sikhs have had their turbans forcibly removed usually as a result of their arrest for carrying the Kirpan, a curved knife under their outer clothing which is interesting in and of itself because a number of states have declared the knife exempt from concealed weapons statutes due to their being worn is a requirement of their religious tenets. I suppose we could start a thread about the increasing Sikhization of American law....
Oh, she is a convert, they tend to be more radical than originals. But then again, she is guilty of alcohol violation, now how does that fit in with Islam?
If she is American, she can't be deported...
Muslims don't seem to have a problem with removing the heads of foreigners against their will, so why do we refuse to force criminal muslims to remove their head scarves in jail?

Difference is that Sikhs do not commit terrorist attacks as much as Muslims do. They do not think they are exception or special to the rules. Their religion is not based off a pedophile who raped little girls and then worshiped god with semen on his clothes. (actual passage from Koran)
I think that Sikhs should remove their turbans when the law asks.
I agree with the law though. I know a Sikh student who wanted to wear the Kirpan to school but they didn't let him. He accepted it and wore it at home or whenever permissible. Sikhs are not trying to do any Sikhization.
Muslims really need to learn to do the same. When the LAW says to do it, you do it. NO exceptions. NO whining.
If you intend on committing a crime in Colorado, wear a scarf and claim to be a mooslum.
