I played by the rules. Don't have children unless you can afford to support them yourself.
Now I feel like an idiot. I am constantly bombarded with people who have kids who cannot afford them, are on public assistance due to them, or their kids suffer due to lack of birth control and common sense.

What gives?
Government Assistance that's what gives...and quite a bit
Makes me think of illegal immigrants. I remember when I was growing up and we used to be like, "Damn, why they keep having all these kids?" Then they roll on down to the food stamp office or get EITC on their tax returns.

Oh, c'mon, while part of what you say may be true, I see just as many people from all races doing this thing. One has to get a license to drive a car, but just spread one's legs for a baby. Sorry, but true.
I'm sure some of you have already seen this statistic in some of the other threads I've posted in...
Quote:
The 1996 Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA) gave states greater flexibility to formulate and implement initiatives to reduce welfare dependency and encourage employment for members of low-income families with children. For the nation, in 2006, 10 years after passage of the Act, the birth rate for women 15 to 50 years old receiving public assistance income in the last 12 months was 155 births per 1,000 women, about three times the rate for women not receiving public assistance (53 births per 1,000 women).

Who said anything about race? When did I say anything about race?
The more kids they have the more government cheese they get. The system actually encourages it. Responsible people don't have kids that they can't afford, so over time their numbers actually decrease. Part of the reason why this country is going down hill is because we are being out bred by morons. Don't see it yet? Get back to me in twenty years when the late great United States more closely resembles a third world dunghill.

The late ... great ... United States. Yep ... and for some reason, the reality of that doesn't scare and wake people up. I guess they are all OK with living in that state.
