I'm sure most of you have heard the phrase that the only people who support marijuana legalization are people who smoke it. While that is in fact true, atleast for the most part, I still don't understand the potheads. Sure, they want it to be legal so they can get their fix, and continue using harmful and illegal substances (which wouldn't be illegal if they had their way). Most people are opposed to legalization of illegal drugs, but I just don't get why some people think it's a good idea to make it legal? People who say "it puts innocent people behind bars" are idiots. Innocent people don't use illegal substances. There is no reason for marijuana, or any other illegal drug, to be legalized. You don't want to go to jail? Don't use illegal substances.

The only legitimate use for illegal drugs is for medical purposes, but if you just want to go get stoned and/or feed your addiction, then it's not okay. And people who say that marijuana is not addictive at all are full of ****. People get addicted to marijuana all the time and they suffer from it, just because you got lucky with a joint once or twice, doesn't mean that everyone is immune to become addicted and/or dependent. I really don't understand marijuana legalization people. No intelligent individual supports and/or endorses an illegal activity, yet a select few uneducated persons seem to support the use of marijuana, which is an illegal activity.

I don't understand anti-legalization people. Why should the government spend billions of dollars each year trying to eradicate a plant that can grow naturally in all 50 states? We spend billions of dollars each year locking up people for selling and smoking a plant. That doesn't make sense.

Treat marijuana like alcohol. If alcohol is consumed safely and properly it's legal to do so. Marijuana should be treated the same way.

I still don't understand marijuana legalization people.

It's usually because they are talking with Doritos in their mouth...

The same reason cocaine, meth, and other drugs are illegal.

Alcohol was made illegal at one point. We had the same problem and same inane 'arguments' as you've just made, and the Prohibition had to be ended. Now alcohol is a source of revenue for the government and a source of DUI's, spouse abuse and early deaths.

Marijuana is less harmful than those drugs and is less harmful than alcohol.

It's the Genetically Modified Corn what screws up their heads.

Prohibition actually had a case against it. Marijuana does not.

I'm against marijuana being legalized because it's mainly liberals that want to legalize it. And since they're in favor of heavily regulating or banning things I want then turn about is fair play.

Legalizing marijuana is a small government idea.
