A Clayton County mother of six said the family dog did what he always did when he saw someone. He barked.
But when "Boomer" started barking and running toward a police officer Saturday morning, the officer shot the dog and killed it, Lawrene King told the AJC Sunday night.
keep his gun holstered for one. seems the dog was on its own property behind an electric fence.hey I had a paper route and wasn't as chicken as that cop when a dog ran at me barking. not a good reason to kill.
I am sorry, but was this dog on his own property, in todays world, i want my dog to bark, don't you mine barks when there is a reason to, and is protective on his property and those that love them.
Too many trigger happy Cops these days, these cases seem to be happening over and over again, the Cope assumes, assumes a hose was a gun, this has to stop. He could of kicked the dog, the gun should be the last resort when in fear of your own life.
Unfortunately, I think police across the country are getting more jumpy & trigger-happy even as crime rates drop to record lows. Just last week down in Long Beach, police shot up a drunk dude sitting on his friend's porch because they thought he was armed..... with what turned out to be a freakin water nozzle!#$%
That sorry excuse for a cop didn’t have any other means to handle the animal at his disposal? No taser, nightstick, pepper spray – nope just blow it’s head off with his gun. Hope that department gets sued.
