Cop shot dog on private property. Dog had never bitten anyone before. Cop did not have a warrant to be on Dog's property. Those are the facts. That is all I need.
Ya, always stop when YOUR point is made
The officer had gotten a complaint of a disturbance...he was investigating and had every right to approach the house.
Now you go out and start your own little police force, I'm sure you'll do so much better...and never ever make a mistake
Dog wasn't on a leash, wasn't restrained by any visible means and charged the officer. That's a justifiable shooting.
Using his service weapon was the correct call. Tasers are basically one shot weapons, so that would have been a poor choice here. A night stick requires letting the dog get within striking distance. Pepper spray is not as common as it used to be.
Any time a cop shoots anyone or anything it is said to be justified. Cops are trigger happy morons who protect the rich and kill the poor. Even a police K9 is given a higher life value than a regular citizen.
They will sick their attack trained dogs on a citizen in a heartbeat, and call it non lethal force, but when they are faced with the same threat they begin shooting.
If you are the general public, cops consider you the enemy, and act accordingly.

Pepper spray just doesn't make the same "statement" as a bullet.

He was investigating a disturbance....does not get you every right to approach a house. That is kind of why we have warrants. Police they don't need no stinkin warrants. "We spit on the Constitution".
There are good police officers but there are many who are just a bunch of bullies. The profession attracts that type of mentality.
