What an awesome guy for allowing these people who need help into his home. The snaeky cynics though will always find something wrong with what this fine man is doing. They probably think he has an ulterior motive.

Why isn't he spending the holiday with his 5 kids?
Why don't the kids stay with him for the holiday?
Doesn't add up to me I still say it's weird.
I bet in a few weeks he has a job from the publicity or a Good Samaritan sends him money, and good for him if that's what happens.
A great day in the life of a woman and her children needing assistance. Perhaps someday this woman and/or her children will pay it forward. Thanks to this man for keeping these people in a more private area for themselves. No reason to have a warm cozy room in an apartment, empty, just collecting dust. The article read that he tries to give them their space. Of course he does. This holiday season may be just the amount of time this woman needs to get back 'on her feet'.
I wish ALL the BEST to this woman, her children and this kind man, regaining their 'footing' in the coming months.
It makes me wonder how the press got ahold of the story. I can invite people into my home and no one would know about it..
More than likely the woman he took in wanted to give this man some recognition and contacted Huffington. Or, someone she knows either personally or through her place of employment gave the information to Huffington and they followed up.
Another possibility is that he called them, not for recognition, but to live up to his final comment in the article...

Maybe he's a nice guy and his ex doesn't want to keep their children from their father.
The country is full of "nice guys" who prey on vulnerable women with children from shelters. Often they are abusers, pedophiles, etc. Often these women walk right back into situations they were escaping from. This is quite common actually.
I wonder how trusting you would be if you were related to the children in this case.
Most of the posters here seem to be detached from the reality that the woman and her children are taking a huge risk.
