do you think we will ever have a true conservative president again in your lifetime.

It's a simple question but I'd like to hear peoples opinions on the subject....

I doubt it. The Socialist have too many generations of children trained to think they are "entitled" by the government through the public schools. Too many are dependant of subsidies. It will take either a real miracle or a real catastrophy to change the downward spiral towards a euro-Social Democracy that the power hungry "big government" endorsers have set this country's path.

Our Constitution would have to be enfoced and upheld by those sworn to do so. Sadly, at large, that does not happen on the Hill.

Can you give an example of a "true conservative" president for comparison purposes?

So true and very sad. Trained and brained (washed) that is. And drained of all ability to think for themselves.

I sure as heck hope so. I have been waiting for the real conservatives to retake their Party, so far t has not happened. Heck I might actually have a choice again when voting President.

I'm almost 40 and I don't know that we've ever had a conservative president in my lifetime, I doubt we'll have a true conservative any time soon at the rate we're going. If we do somehow manage to elect a true conservative president you can bet one thing, he'll be a "racist".

Casper I know Texas is big. I rode all the way across it on my way back east on the motorcycle, but is Texas big enough to have some presidential character living and conservititve that can win an election. One who really DID study the CONS?

As Mo gal says the system is rife with the entiled enamored, and getting them off the dole isn't going to be easy.
