I didn't mean to intimate that fuel prices were the ONLY reason food prices were rising. As was pointed out by Driller, corn is foolishly used for ethanol which the govenment has mandated another 5% for gasoline which now pushes gasoline's content to 15% ethanol. This is just crazy. We don't need corn fueling higher food prices in trade for higher corn prices which is subsidized by the government to begin with here..

The government needs to get out of forcing these type of regulations and also needs to quit subsidizing farmers, oil companies, and the myriad of other commodities that it meddles with in the economy.

So true! It ALSO is high time the govt puts a STOP to the lie that the oil industry has been perpetrating since the late 1800's that oil, which is really abiotic and replenishes itself, "is a fossil fuel" which it is not. It is just a story the industry decided to use to justify charging more money for oil.

Not more abiotic oil nonsense. There is only 1 (discredited) scientist in the whole world that believes it. There is zero evidence that oil is abiotic.
