In some ways, I agree with this and in some ways I don't... anybody remember Katrina and all of the incidences of typically older white people waving guns at any black person who asked for refuge or even passed by their property? Or the whole bridge incident where police from the predominantly white city across the bridge shot and killed blacks trying to escape New Orleans? Anybody who says those incidents weren't racially motivated is an idiot.
On the other hand, people have every right to buy firearms and while I personally wouldn't own a firearm unless I had to, I'm a huge advocate of knowing how to use one.
I do agree though that Michael Moore is being very sensationalist here. However, a big chunk of his point has a whole lot of merit. Why is the richest country in the world also one of the most violent?
It's because most people blasted away with gun violence are minorities. That's what Michael Moore is getting at.
