Why would Pelosi, with a track record of speaking out against China on their human rights violations attend? This smacks of hypocrisy.

Whatever their reasons for not attending, if China takes it as a snub, good.

Who's running the Obama administration since the November election is the key to your answer: The Clinton's.

If anyone thinks the Clinton's aren't as cozy with the Chinese as the Neo-Conservative Republican's, you're fooling yourself.

This President treats dictators with more sweetness than he does the Tea Party.

Not at all, I agree. I think the China failure is fully bipartisan.

Yes, but only in the sense that bi-partisan means involving both parties.

However, that ignores the complete difference in ideologies within the Democratic Party. There really are two camps in that party which could be identified as the Clinton wing and the Kennedy wing.

Obama came out of the Kennedy wing and, as such, has been as much of a target for the Clintonites as he has been for the Republican's. Sad to say, they've beaten him so far. Working from within and without his administration, they've gutted his ability to pursue his agenda and have now forced him into a corner from which I don't think he can emerge before 2012.

What that means for the nation is that, once again, corporate interests will likely control both sides of the 2012 election, just as they've done successfully since at least 1988, with the sole exception of 2008 when Obama snuck up on them.

It's stupid to snub the most economically infuential country on the planet.

There is a certain element of resentment with the fact that the United States is losing global influence while China is gaining.

I caught a phone interview with Donald Trump this morning on Fox and Friends. He stated that if he were POTUS, he would NOT have thrown them a state dinner. After they got off the plane, they would have been led into the Oval Office and told, "Let's talk."

China is NOT our friend. They are playing us for patsies. You think Boehner and McConnell don't see that?
Wrong the American peoiple are being played for patsie by corporations. It's American corporate money that is funding factories and employing workers in China while not hiring workers here in the United States. And you know what? The American people ARE patsies to the corporations.

How influential would China be without our buying up those exports? That does give us a very large degree of power and I think we should use it. Really, I think we should get out of China all together.

Is this another example of Republican Class? You know, like going to a party instead of the Memorial. Looks like some of us define class differently.
