What the real dilema here is isn't the flag. Its how do you stop a neighbor from harrassing you? You can't go on their property and you can move but if they continue and make it impossible to sell or rent the harrassment continues. This neighbor has been harrasing them long enough to prompt them to move and now he's found a way to stop them from leaving.

Somewhere in this the people he's running out because for whatever reason he doesn't like them have some rights. How do they exercise them and be free to sell or rent or stay without his getting in the way? When neighbors decide to stop mowing the lawn and the grass is knee high to get their neighbors the city can demand it be cut but if it is something personal and not neglectful then what? It seems to me that its not the flag in this instance since if he removes it he'll find something equally problematical.

I hope they find a solution becasue while if he wants to fly a Nazi flag he can he does not have the right to contually harrass his neighbors. They deserve to have their own home be secure from him.
I wonder if there was an association in this neighborhood (assuming there is not) if they could be of help rather than the usual.

I'm glad I live in a nation where people have the freedom to fly whatever flag they please.

You're saying that it's ok to kill/burn them because they have racial prejudice. If so, how are you better then real fascists?

Yep, he's allowed to fly any flag he wants but all of his neighbors are free to tell everyone what a bigot he is and put it on the local TV news. Old fashioned shaming at it's best.

So...what if it was ordinary porn? People use the argument all the time that such things should be censored in public because they have a right to control when their children (or selves) are exposed to it. What is intrinsically more dangerous about children being exposed to sex than Nazism?

For the record, I think they have the right to have a Nazi flag in their window, I would just like people to be consistent about things.

And a lot of Americans died to keep the Confederate flag from being displayed on our soil. Yet, many of you don't have a problem with the flying and display of the Confederate flag, even over top of State Capital buildings.

The truth of the matter is that the Nazi flag and all the hate it represented was an event between the German Protestent/Catholics and the German Jews. Rightfully, Jews feel more destain, hurt and agony over the sight of the Nazi flag than any other people, and that's understandable.

The Confederate flag, which represents the same evils, atrocities, etc., as the Nazi flag is what Americans of other than Jewish Ancestry should be up in arms about. Why? Because the horrific events associated with the Confederate flag happened on United States soil. Instead many Americans glorify the disgusting Confederate flag. the Confederate flag is displayed on flagpoles, in windows, on T-shirts, cups, album covers, restaurants,...you name it. And nobody says a damn thing about it.

Why the contradiction between these two disgusting flags. I'll tell you why--because the Nazi flag is associated with atrocities against Jews (white people) and the Confederate flag is PRIMARLY associated with atrocities against Black people in America. And in America, horrific historical events that happen to black people are always either downplayed, or dismissed. For example, the typical white persons response to blacks who bring up the subject of slavery is "just get over it", or "that was the past...move on". On the other hand...ever heard a white person tell a Jew to "just get over it" when they talk about the holocaust?

They have a right to have the flag in the window, and the neighbors have a right to be irate.

Baloney. That "flag" was displayed PROUDLY in this country before we got in WW2 and people did not make a big issue out of it. It's called freedom of speech.

This is no worse than liberals flying a "Che" flag.
