Since they close on Sunday for the Christian sabbath, I wonder if they have any Jewish employees and if so would they give that employee Saturday - the Jewish Sabbath - off as well?
I doubt they have many (if any at all) Jewish employees ... for one thing, Chick-fil-A is not kosher, it is TREYF (unclean).
Does this change your opinion about them or will you simply do what I do.....NOT EAT THERE? If someone doesn't like who I am I sure as hell aren't going to contribute to their financial well being.
Besides, they are overpriced anyway.
I don't eat fast food, fried food, or the other garbage at the mall food court, but if I did, I would avoid this restaurant now. They support groups that create lies and hateful propaganda to cause hatred toward gay people.
So let the gay hating evangelicals waddle on up to the Chick Fill A counter and continue clogging their arteries. I'll remain thin and not contributing to hate groups.
That's a poor business decision if you ask me. I frankly couldn't care less what their personal view is on gays or any other matter. Whatever floats their boat. But from a business standpoint, I find it horrifyingly ill-advised that they are publicly and openly forwarding the interests of one side of a controversial political issue.
All of you who think that just gay people will stop going to Chick-Fil-A (Sp?) are wrong. Straight people support gay rights too, and many would be just as offended by their anti-gay political views.
While there are inevitably going to be those out there who love this story and are going to go to Chick-Fil-A even more often because of this (see above poster ^^), or those who will start going when they otherwise might not have before, I foresee them losing more business than they might gain. I'm no businessperson, but isn't the goal to appeal to the broadest consumer base possible, politics aside? I thought that was like Business 101.
I was thinking the same thing. If I owned a business that sold to the general public across the country, I would never support any controversial businesses or broadcast my political views. Hobby Lobby is the same way, so I avoid them as well. I was reading the other day that Phred Phelps owns one, or is part owner of one.

No wonder he and his family always have such colorful posters and designs for their protests.
MY wife and I picked up some grilled chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A on the way home because of this thread. Their carrot and raisin salad is my weakness. The place was PACKED just like it always is, I applaud them for standing up for what they believe in.
